To make a truly memorable visit to Upperton book a tour and tasting followed by a homemade afternoon tea including sandwiches, scones and homemade cake with a glass of Upperton bubbly served on our terrace overlooking the South Downs. The afternoon tea begins at either 13:00 before the tour at 14:00 or 15:30 after the tour has finished. Upperton Vineyards is situated between Midhurst and Petworth in Sussex.
Flavour Tastings has partnered with Upperton Vineyards to create the opportunity to taste our fantastic English sparkling wines and see how perfectly they match British cheeses. You will first be taken on a tour of the vineyard overlooking the spectacular South Downs by our vineyard owner Andy Rogers and his son James Rogers, vineyard manager. They will explain the birth of the vineyard, our ethos, viticulture and sparkling wine making methods. In our private tasting room you will benefit from Louisa Masons expert cheese knowledge as she guides you through 5 artisan British cheeses along with wine knowledge from James. You will learn how and why cheese and wine go together and can bring the best out in each other in a relaxed fun setting.
Harvest is the most exciting time of the year and this year we will be celebrating with a pre-harvest dinner dance.
The evening starts with a tour of the vineyards before a five course dinner, which will be designed to perfectly
complement the three glasses of Upperton wine included in the meal. The superb Irish band Feckless will get
everyone dancing for the rest of the night. A cash bar will be available. Tables of 8 or 10 can be booked to receive a 10% discount.
